Our brass reducer has a hexagonal nut, which is equipped with an external thread. For smooth transition or reduction from a wide pipe to a narrow one, always use the female thread for the thinner side. Brass reducer connectors come in sizes ranging from 3/8 x 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 x 1 inch.
 
The multiple uses of the brass red piece are evident in its properties.
